I'm Ricky van Poppel — the builder behind RIKKETIK and also known as Ill Dynamics — a DevOps, Linux, infrastructure, and cyber security specialist based in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

My work spans from AI orchestration systems and self-hosted automation to bare-metal Kubernetes clusters, streaming infrastructure, and audio DSP plugins. I'm driven by a simple philosophy: if you can build it yourself, you should understand it deeply enough to run it yourself too.

Everything I build leans local-first and self-hosted wherever that makes sense. No cloud lock-in when the stack can be owned. No vague managed black boxes when real Linux, storage, networking, and automation can do the job more honestly.

When I'm not writing code, I'm probably deep in a drum & bass session, tweaking audio effects, or figuring out why Ceph decided to rebalance at 3 AM.
